Wow! You too. I was honestly beginning to think that everyone could wear a 4+ inch heel! Why is it so damn hard to find a cute stylish shoe that isn't sky high or flat and ugly!! It's ridiculous. I broke all 5 metatarsals in my left foot 6 years ago. Everything has been fine up until now...I'm in an aircast for a month. Luckily my wedding is in September. I wonder if you can order a bridal shoe in a wide width. I'm sure it would have to be relatively flat since most orthodics aren't very flexible. Or, you could try a wedge style shoe.
Born has really cute wedges with great support. So does j41 (now Jambu). Even if you can't find a shoe that will accomodate an orthotic (I wear them too) there are some high quality comfortable supportive shoes out there that you might be able to wear for a few hours.
What about some colorful sneakers? Something simple canvas you can put your orthotics into?
I don't have orthos, but I have a hard time walking in heels and my FI is the same height as me. So, I'm going the sneaker or sandal route.
I'm going for blue chaco sandals or yellow toms linen shoes. I'm not sure which yet. :)

Any suggestions for wedding/bridal shoes that would work well with orthotics? (I have orthotics made for dress shoes, but they're still pretty wide and thick.)
