They were fine for the ceremony and reception events, I changed for dancing.

And my dancing shoes:

Very comfortable, can’t wait to wear them a ton this summer!

nordstrom on sale for $49. i wore them twice before my wedding.  once to the symphony and once to another wedding.  i’ve worn them since with jeans and will wear to upcoming weddings. one of my BMs wore the exact same shoes. (i didn’t care)

oh, and super comfortable.  i wore them all night.  my feet were hurting after 7 hours in them but most heels do that.

I ordered mine online from Nordstrom’s and had them shipped to the border. The shoes themselves were $750, but I also had to pay duty to get them across and gas for the trip to pick them up.

And if you want to get really technical, my mom and I did drive down to Minneapolis to try them on, so there was that expense in there as well (although we were thinking of going anyways and ended up doing a few other things while we were there). I didn’t know what size I needed and couldn’t find the blue ones in stock anywhere near me. Since I didn’t want to order 3 pairs in different sizes to be delivered to the store, I just tried them on in a different colour and ordered the ones I wanted when I got home.

In terms of comfort, they weren’t actually that bad. I ended up taking them off after our first dance, but that was more because my back was hurting from sleeping in an unfamiliar bed the night before and sitting in uncomfortable chairs for 3 hours getting my hair and makeup done (My back was hurting pretty bad before I put the shoes on).

Here are my lovelies. They were worth every penny!

For comfort, I’ve been swearing by John Fluevog. It’s something I would wear in the office; plus, Mary Janes are much more my style. 🙂
Sturdy (rubber-soled), comfortable and stylish. Regular $309 CAD, but these in brown are on sale right now. Link to my shoes.

@weatherbug:  i tried them on at an actual Steve Madden retailer last summer, but didn’t want to pay their price (I think it was like $80?) so I went online and found them on some random shopping website. they’re no longer in season, but you may be able to find them online somewhere. the style name is Glaare, and the color is Pewter. they also come in a colored version that is SUPER cute.

@weatherbug:  yes, very! some people don’t like t-straps but i think they are VERY comfortable. basically just like a more structured flip flop. and because they SM’s they’re high-quality and will probably last a long time.

@sjhanddab2014:  Nordstrom – $160 – Comfy!  I think because of the platform.
