here is a tutorial i found about movie maker... maybe this will help you out.
Thanks a lot for the link. I have Movie Maker and was thinking about using it. This tutorial will definitely help!
Animoto is awesome if it will fit the bride & grooms "vision" of a slideshow. Otherwise, I recommend Slideshow Gold. Whatever you use, make sure you make it into a DVD that will play in a DVD player, and use that at the reception instead of a computer. DVD players work every time with the touch of a button..... computers, well, that can be a little more compilcated. There's nothing worse than trying to set the screen resolution and format, and making it play full-screen when 200 people are looking at you waiting for the show to start.
When gathering pictures, maybe you want to do a bit of Facebook creeping and suprise the couple with photos their friends posted a couple of years ago. A friend of mine did this and the couple could not believe they had the pictures from their college friends and it really included guests who were not part of producing the slide show and the couple loved it.
<span style="text-decoration: underline;">slicey19, that's a good idea! One time I made a scrapbook for a friend and I included a bunch of pictures of her with her fiance and of their engagement shots. She couldn't believe I kept those pictures from when she sent them to me online a long time ago. This will be a surprise slideshow so it's better to find the pictures on my own like you suggested.

I’ve been given the task to create a slideshow for my cousin’s wedding that is in 2 months. I have her childhood pictures and I am in the process of getting pictures from her friends and looking for the pictures I have taken of her.
What is the best way to start creating the slideshow? I don’t want to use PowerPoint for it, I’d rather go with more of a movie-maker type of program. Does anyone have any experience with this? <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> It will be played at the rehearsal dinner. Also, is it good to include captions on some photos? And how about titles, wording etc?
