I’m confused? Is this inside or outside? Will they still be seated or along the aisle in lines? Do you have something to light each sparkler for each person at each seat?

I’d be worried if they are still in their seats as in close proximity to those seated right next to you with clothing and perfumes/colognes, hair sprays that are flammable.

Do you have them getting up and lining up along the aisle if its outside? Lighting them up can take time too but they don’t last long.

I know we are doing them too but at the end of the night for the exit outside. Our wedding coordinator said she will have at least 10 people be “lighters” for others to light it as fast as possible as the only last a few minutes and I got the long lasting ones.

Just have your parents start it and others will catch on. Do you have matches or something attached for them to light them with?

The logistics of trying to do it as you walk down the aisle seem challenging.

Sparkler exits require quite a few people to be prepared with lighters so the guests’ sparklers are all lit at the same time. Most people don’t smoke any more so many people will not have access to a lighter or matches. The guests will also be spread out in the pews or chairs and not able to cluster in groups to share a lighter.

We used sparklers for our exit from the reception and it was a lot of fun, but it takes awhile for them to get all lit especially with matches. We used several lighters and it still took probably 5-10 minutes to get most of them lit. To make it work you would need to have the officiant annouce everyone light sparklers, wait several minutes for them to get lit then walk through. Is the ceremony at night? If it’s not after like 8pm, sparkelrs won’t really have an effect or be able to be seen in pictures. I’d just do bubbles for the ceremony and sparklers for the reception exit.

xxallurebridexx:  We had a specific time and wrote on the sparkler jar, “Sparkler Exit 11:30” then the DJ made an annoucement for everyone to get a sparkler, lit them, then made a path that we walked through, we walked through twice for pictures, and went back in after to get our stuff together but most weddings I’ve been to they just leave from there, usually about 30 minutes before the end of the reception.
