Hi everyone. This is my first post and I wanted to get some opinions on my theme and colors. I would love to have a destinantion wedding but there are so many people, including my parents, that wouldn’t be able to make the trip. That being the case we decided to go with a beach theme. Our colors are turquoise, brown, and tan. The ceremony and reception will take place in the same venue. It’s no where near a beach, but the decor will be beachy. This is also a complete DIY affair. Is this cheesy? I know I’m the bride and I should do what I want but my confidence about my choices is slowly dropping. I really just need some encouraging words.

hey! I was going to do a Destination Wedding (destination wedding) in FL but the prices were out of our budget plus we would be further away from my family. We are currently looking at a venue in Maryland thats on a bay (they closed down the beach recently) but we’re still going to have a beach theme with our colors being turquoise, silver, and white. Honestly you can still have a beach theme without being by a beach. My cousin had a beach wedding last year in St. Croix USVI and it wasn’t by a beach, just a pool. Also its not cheesy to have a DIY, just as long as it looks good!

Hello, I’m new to this sight as of today. I think you colors are perfect. They represent those perfect beach views & hues. I’ve googled some great diy reception/ceremony favors and accesories with those colors. I say go for it. Not cheesy at all & you only live once.
I’m having a destination wedding in Bethany Beach DE but It won’t be on the beach. My entire wedding/catering/reception & honeymoon will all take place at a golf course resort. It has a restaurant for the recption on sight and plenty of picture perfect spaces to do the ceremony as well as rental units for guest who want to stay. My colors are white, silver & coral. I don’t intend on doing too much of a beachy theme but (since my future last name will be White) I’m going for a white party theme with some diy beachy inclusions.

Great colors. I was also doing a destination wedding in Jamaica. Due to my fiancé wanting family there cause his folks wouldn’t be able to afford it we are having in our hometown. My theme is a romantic night at the beach. There are tons of DIY beach things u can do. Ex: pass out fans to guest which can also double as favors. Have a sand ceremony also choose flowers that remind u of beaches and caribbean. Have a mixture of shells and coral reefs as centerpieces or even lanterns as centerpieces. There are tons of bees who sale their stuff after the wedding so check that, eBay, etsy, and the knot also has forums and their brides resale things
