my theme is birds- it came naturally because my new last name will be Byrd… I don’t think everyone needs a ‘theme’ but a mood or feeling for the day is good to have, ie romantic, whimsicle, modern, retro, etc

You should consider the things that you love or that are important to you, if you can narrow down a few things to draw inspiration from it doesn’t have to be “themed” per say. You want a romantic wedding you could do a ‘pretty in pink’ styled wedding, or a ‘love by candlelight’ evening ceremony and reception. It just really depends on what your idea of romantic is….like the romantic era of literature (Wordsworth, Coolridge, Byron, Keats, Shelly) or the hollywood romanitc (The Notebook, Titanic,etc.) is it rose petals and champage? Or is it something else?

Its up to you 🙂

my theme is gonna be whimsicle, fun, and unpredictable:)  I’m looking forward to it:)  It will be in a park, so it will have some outdoor rusticness as well.  My colors are blues, yellow and a touch of orange.

Everything is pretty much DIY.

@Williams_delores: Ours is mountain/camping/ vintage.

Smore’s kits, tiny mountain survival kit favors, clothspin table chart for guests, pie instead of cake, thin cut aspen tree for guests to “carve” on for guestbook, feathers in bouquets, hair, etc… tin can lanterns, camping lantern centerpieces, homeade liquer for later….. hehe….
