@Lbward6:  everything you listed (except I always thought that brides paid for bridesmaids), plus groom’s gifts, a whole slew of ettiquette rules, and boudoir photos.

@Lbward6:  I found that weddingbee was a great tool for “double checking” things (i.e. grammar, wording, what looks better, etc), especially if you add a poll lol.

  • Potluck receptions (no thanks).
  • Uplighting.
  • Having to clean up after the reception.

  • How difficult people can be (family, bridal party, vendors)
  • How expensive things can be (bands, venues, photographers, etc)
  • How many decisions have to be made on such simple things (flowers, menu, favors)
  • How much time it takes to put a wedding together

Centerpieces.  I had always assumed that the venues provided these, LOL.

Professional photographers.  I didn’t realize they all had their own unique style until we started doing research.  We quickly learned that it is important to pick one whose style we admired and not base our decision on budget alone.

@Lbward6:  I’d never heard of moissanite/ASHA/Amora.  And I’ve never seen them for sale in the city I live in.  I’d love to see moissy IRL to see the fire everyone talks about.
