We used one song for the seating of the mothers/grandmothers, one song for the procession of the bridesmaids, and one song for the procession of the bride. Whoever is managing sound for you guys should just be able to fade each song out as everyone takes their places.

Don’t forget that you’ll want some prelude music (for when guests are arriving and being seated) and some recessional music for your recessional back down the aisle after the ceremony.

You can pick classical pieces or non-classical pieces — whatever you like the most. You can walk down the aisle to Pachelbel’s Canon or you can walk down the aisle to one of your favorite romantic songs. One of my friends walked to (I Can’t Help) Falling in Love With You by Ingrid Michaelson. Beautiful.

And for the recessional, you’ll want something a little more upbeat because you’re married and it’s time to celebrate! 🙂
