It depends on what kind of wedding you want. Do you want a large wedding or a small intimate wedding? 1pm on a friday is probably gonna garner you a small wedding. I'm guessing only the people closest to you and cares most would be willing to sacrifice a whole work day. there's also a gap between ceremony & reception, which is inconvenient although not uncommon.
Just evaluate how important that ceremony venue is to you. If it's super important, then you'll need to sacrifice the convenience of your guests. If it's not, I would recommend you looking into another church.
I would rather have a later time then a specific church...it is inconvienient for out of towners to do it on a Friday anyways but every will have to take off work if it's during the day Friday. Things to think about.
It is your day and should be perfect but you might expect a few people not to be able to make it based on the time :(

So we're having a Friday wedding...problem is that the Church we want to have our ceremony in has a wedding at 4 already. They said we can do one at 1 pm. Do you think that is too early to have a wedding on a Friday? We were planning on then doing a cocktail hour at 4:30 or 5.
