We have a small wedding (52 incl. bridal party), our ceremony is in the same space as our reception, which is this gallery that is attached to this really cool retail type space at the front. Our ceremony is at 4:30, following the ceremony everyone will move to the retails pace for hors d’oeuvres and cocktails while the space is being transformed for the reception.
I was concerned that people might see me if I right at 4:30, but I’m guessing most people will be early anyways? Since it’s such a small group. I’m not worried about seeing the groom, as we are doing a first look anyways. It’s moreso the guests.
Originally my timeline was:
3:30 – Girls arrive at venue and go to hidden bridal area (really, it’s just pipe & drape covering us from view)
3:45 – Guys get there and greet guests
4:30 – Ceremony
Now I’m worried that I’ll get squirly being behind that pipe & drape for an hour since it’s such a small space.
Should I change my timeline to:
3:45 – Guys arrive to greet guests (or does the groom need to not be seen for a while either?)
4:15 – Bridesmaids (less MOH) arrive at venue to ensure people are not standing in the retail space and to ensure the doors to the ceremony space is closed for brides arrival
4:30 – Bride arrives in retail space
Does that make more sense?
