@readbakesmile:  Don’t think of it in terms of these broad sweeping statements you must make — break it down into the small things you love about him and see where that leads you. Brainstorm those ideas, then find a common thread to link them together, and you’re on your way.

It’s ok!  You don’t need to sum up your entire relationship in your vows.  People know that you love him endlessly, so anything you say will be really meaningful and wonderful.  I ended up writing my vows in the hour right before the ceremony, eek!  They were only like 8 sentences long and it was just fine and perfect.

HAPPY WEDDING!!!

I don’t have any advice on the vows :/ but..I just wanted to say congrats! I hope you have a wonderfully memorable day! I’m sure once you start thinking about why you fell in love with your FI…writing your vows will be a breeze! Good luck and I wish you 2 the best!

DH and I didn’t write our own vows but we wrote love letters to each other the morning of our wedding and used them in the love letter/wine box ceremony.

At first I thought “I will never be able to write something that will be meaning ful in 5 years” but I think I have!! I started by writing all the names that I call him, then brainstormed everything that I loved about him and about our past then transitioned into my hopes and dreams for the future.

I just recentely re-read what I wrote (I have a copy on my computer because I write better then typing, so I typed it first then wrote it by hand) and it brought me to tears.

Just start writing and see what comes out… you’ll be able to find a common theme and you just have to tie it all together!!
