Are there any local free magazines outlining local events? You could try local music shops, they stock them sometimes. Or try online.

@FutureMrsM87:  This won’t help you for your canvas totes, but there are ways to get magazine subscriptions  inexpensively.

Almost every day Krazy Coupon Lady has a special code for Discount Magazines to get a full year subscription for only a few dollars, often for little more than the cost of one issue at the store. also has specials on all the time with no code needed.

Amazon also has good deals on magazines.

Many magazines offer free trial issues, just Google “Free Trial Issue”.  You could order a whole bunch but you would have to remember to cancel after the trial issue so you don’t get stuck with a bunch of subscriptions you don’t want.

I’d ask around to friends etc who might have subscriptions. If you’re okay with having some slightly out of date issues. I know I subscribe to like 4 magazines and I save up a lot of my old issues to either donate places or give to friends. Everytime my cousin comes to visit from England I always send her back with a stack of magazines to choose from for her plane ride back.

My thrift store always has a ton of magazines.  I don’t know if you care how current they are though…

Try Costco. Our local store has a good selection for 25% off.
