Our ceremony and reception are at the same location, but everyone is getting ready at the same hotel 15 minutes from our venue. We are planning to get there early for pictures. I did not plan on getting a limo and cannot justify spending hundreds of dollars for the short trip between the hotel and venue. Are you hiring a limo, driving separately, or renting some other kind of transportation? No one will see us arriving--so we don't need anything fancy.
I would just plan to let everyone drive them self. If you've got BM's or other family that don't have transportation, make sure some one else has them covered for a ride there AND BACK!! I've been to several weddings where rented transportation left bridal party members without a way back to their vehicles when the limo left with the bride and groom!!
Maybe you could do a couple of taxi vans (the ones that can hold 5+ people). That way you don't need to worry about your wedding party driving after drinking all day and night and they can just taxi back to the hotel at the end of the reception.
