@Overjoyed:    She may have thought that you had a travel agent who would handle all the bookings for the wedding. Some travel agents offer this service and the bride and groom get a discount on their honeymoon travel costs.

I trust you were joking about your response to her.

@Overjoyed:  Well by Facebook messaging you she’s shown that she can use the internet… I would point her to expedia and tripadvisor 🙂

@Overjoyed:  I’ve seen it for destination weddings.

I book my vacations through a travel agent.  Is this a DW?  I would just tell her you are not using a coordinator and direct her to where she can book things a la carte.

I guess I would just tell her you don’t personally have one and she is welcome to call a travel agent in her area OR maybe give her a name and number of atravel agent in your area. I don’t think it bad request, but definitely not the norm. I guess if it were me I’d just buy my plane tickets and go lol.

I would give her a link to or something similar, and leave it at that.

@Overjoyed:  Oh lawd, I’d just walk away from that. Since it won’t cost you any more, just consider this guest your vendor’s problem from now on and don’t waste your energy.

@Overjoyed:  Re: the second issue – big ol’ WTF?!  That would have been more easily tackled when she first said something about it, it’s pretty tough to bring it up now.  I have to assume that she didn’t know you covered the vendor room?  If she did that’s a whole new bag of worms lol

Ideally, she’ll offer the vendor $, and the vendor will set her straight.
