I saw this a while back(don't remember the site) and thought it was pretty cool.

Has anyone ever done a wedding tree or is planning to do it? I just wanted to see how others have done it and how it went.

That is a good idea! I am doing something somewhat similiar, but a little more visual. I am going to ask family members to give me a copy of there wedding photo. Can't wait to see all the out-dated or maybe not so out-dated stuff ;p I like the idea that the names are on the petals.

We actually did something similar to what I found on the Classic Bride blog. The difference is that my hubby painted a bare tree and we both created the sign on a canvas. Our guests LOVED it! It was our guestbook.

I haven't revealed this on my blog so you'll be the first to see how it all came out.

Roddy that is so cute! I love the "leaf your thumbprint" that is SO UNIQUE!! And such a cute memento to hang in your home!

@SeanaSaid: I actually have that excat same picture as my inspiration for the wedding dree, but opted not to do it due to change of theme. But, what I planned on doing was creating a tree on a canvas (like Roddy did) and then cut out leaves with guests names on them & pin them to the canvas & use them as escort cards.

This is such a cute idea. I've never heard of this before.

@AnnieAAA: Using the tree as your escort cards is fabulous. What a great way to display them and show a relationship among your guests.

Roddy those thumbprints are pretty cool. Was everyone walking around with green thumbs for the rest of the night?

I love the idea of having a wedding tree but not sure the ease of doing it with a larger guest list. The one you featured is from etsy seller melangerienyc. I blogged about her awhile back here http://crosscountrywed.blogspot.com/2009/04/six-degrees-of-newlyweds.html

@GabGal - No, although that would have been funny. I provided them with individual wipee packs I purchased at BJs or Sam's (don't remember).

I used your idea too Roddybride- My tree didn't turn out quite as nice, but I still love it, and so did my guests.  Thanks for the idea!

@roddybride09 - I totally love your tree. I've had many fingerprint trees in my inspiration folder for a while now and yours is by far my favorite. Well done!

Hi, im really interested in the wedding genealogy chart!  I would love to get more inspiration from melangerienyc but i cant get a close enough pic to actually read how she breaks the groups down.  Does anyone have any ideas?  If not, i might do something like roddybride (very awesome!)
