I'd find out from the seller how long the beads are. Usually they're indicated on the package, like 1mm beads. Measure the length of veil you want embellished in centimeters, and then crunch the numbers.
If you don't want to count, buy more beads than you think you need, and string them on white thread and lay it on the veil to see how it looks.
Hope your veil turns out well! I'll be making mine from scratch at some point soon...
Could you buy one bag at a local bead store and based on how far that goes, you can order online?
Thanks girls, all great suggestions. I bought a pack on 2mm beads from etsy for .50. once I get them I will see if I can figure out what I will need. Hopefully this doesnt turn into a night mare of a project :-)

Ok so I get that this now seems like a ridiculous task and that most of you will have no clue how to help me...but despite what everyones opinion was I decided to embelish my own veil. I received my veil from my cousin and it is a one tier floor lenght veil with nothing on it. I want to make it my own by adding swarovski crystal beads and bugle beads on the edge. I have found some sites online that seem reasonable to order the beads, but I have NO CLUE how many beads I would need. Has anyone ever done this and have any clue how many beads they used? Am i just crazy for even attempting this project? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Bees!
