Hello! For those that are providing meals at the reception for your wedding vendors (photographer/videographer/coordinator/etc), did your reception hall offer a discounted per plate cost?
We have quite a few vendors that will be there and want to offer them a meal but feel we shouldn’t have to pay full price for them. The per plate cost at our reception includes three hours of open bar and we are adding an additional hour of open bar at $6 per person. Our vendors won’t be drinking alcohol so I feel it should be cheaper for them to get meal.
We have an eight piece band, 2 photographers, day of coordinator, 1 videoagrapher.. so thats quite a few people!

@Chicagobride36: Our venue served the same meal to our vendors but only charged us half price for these meals.

Mine were only $25/head vs. $150 for guests

Yes, our vendor meals are not full price! Makes sense as they won’t be using the open bar or cocktail hour portions.

@Chicagobride36: Most venues have vendor meal prices etc. Ours are $35 and they get a meal and a drink.

@Chicagobride36: I asked my venue manager, and she assured me they would provide a meal for the vendors at no cost (they give them whichever entree they have the most of)!

Our vendors cost the same price as our other guests, $20/person.

Yup, ask your caterer. Our venue provides vendors w a hot meal from a restaurant at $25pp and we just tell them in advance how many vendor meals we’ll need.
