- Wedding: November 2008
Hi all. We got our wedding video and it was great. I’m glad we chose to get a videographer. It’s a good edited video of the highlights of our day and a good length for outsiders to watch without getting bored. It’s almost an hour from an 8 hour coverage, plus a couple minute highlight reel. We didn’t contract for the raw footage though and weren’t able to see it because it was too big to upload. It was nice watching our video because it did show me a lot of stuff I missed. As I think there might be more missed stuff on the raw footage (i.e. interviews I remember being conducted that didn’t make it into the edited version) that it might be nice to see (and I feel like I would like as much as possible to remember the day), I asked if it was possible to get the raw footage. The raw footage will cost $300.
So my question is if $300 is the going price for the bay area. Plus would it even be worth it to get the raw footage? I’m well aware that it is very likely I may just watch it all the way through maybe once with random picking of sections on anniversaries every decade or something.
