i would rather have my video than even pictures...thats how much i love having a videographer. its def worth it once you find one u love! wish i could give you a recc. but im on the east coast!!!
After a bit of deliberation, we decided to hire a videographer that will record our ceremony and our dances. Our photographer is amazing and will capture a LOT, but we wanted to be able to show our children and grandchildren the footage of the day.
I just went through this whole agonizing decision--After much deliberation, we are going with one! I researched a ton and am feeling good about it even though at times I am overcome with guilt for going over our whole wedding budget. The final decision for me is that I want to see things live, especially knowing that people in my life will come and go, and the thought of being able to see and hear loved ones for years to come gives me chills. Good luck!
BTW, I'm happy to share my input or research or anything if you want to talk about it more!
We are not getting one, simply for the fact that we know we would never ever watch it! We hate seeing ourselves on camera and would probably break out the video maybe once every 10 years....simply not worth it for us! LOL
At first we were going to get one but with sensory overload happening I am sure we are not even going to remember 1/2 of what when on. So we negotiated for unedited video and got a great rate. We wanted to do the video editing for out at home reception anyway so this worked out well.

I'm still debating on whether I should get a wedding videographer.
Some people have commented that they actually look at their wedding video more than their wedding photos.. and I'm wondering if that's true?
