Okay, so we decided in the past few days that we are going to write our own vows.  Bruce said hes almost done! IM LIKE WHAT?!? How can you be done?!? I could sit here and type out what he means to me, and how I could not imagine life without him, but I can't sit and type it out for our wedding!  Im lost! I start to type and then backspace, backspace over and over again!  I want it to be PERFECT!  There is so much I want to say and I tell him daily, however Im lost for typing words!

If you have wrote your own vows and have any pointers let me know and help me where you can!  Thank you so much!

In the end we opted not to write our own vows, but we discussed it a lot.

Is your wedding in September?  If so, I wouldn't become too stressed about it yet.  I would write everything you can think of out now and in a few weeks come back to it and re-read it. In my experience, when writing, it really helps to get everything down on paper, set it aside and come back to it with a clear head after some time.  You can then add or delete parts, set it aside and repeat until you're happy with it.

there are a bunch of posts on the blog about it.... I used the fill in the blank kind of idea to get me started...

    I love you because...

    thank you for...

    i promise to...

    etc

Once i got writing, I worked it all together into something cohesive, made sure that the 'point' I wanted to make, was made.

oh... and don't type them out. hand write them, I found that my feeling flowed better when I was writing them down myself instead of typing them

@peaches4bruce: How about starting off with:

I could not imagine life without you.  There is so much I want to say that I'm almost as a loss for words.

My point is, you've already started to write it with your thoughts.  Just free-hand some ideas, things that come to mind, and rearrange them to be concise and flowing. Read some other vows for inspiration, but in the end, just tell him how you feel.
