Hello bees. I’m wondering if anyone out there is using wedding wands for their reception. I think they could be a lot of fun, but I’m not sure exactly how or when to use them. Also I think they would be easy to make. Love to hear from someone about these.

@Principessa Bunny: Yeah, what’s a wedding wand?
I had ribbon wands at our grand exit from the ceremony.

Yes I purchased some and will be using them for my ceremony exit. I think my guests will like them but I the big reason I got them is because I love how they look in pictures waving around! So cute! i Bought mine off Etsy!

We are using them. Our venue is all in one and indoors. Therefore, we would have to clean up anything tossed. I love how they look in pictures too.
We’ll hand them out witht the programs before the ceremony and guests will wave them at the end. I have a feeling several will be used during the reception to get us to kiss and on the dance floor, etc.
I just made them. I needed about 170 and it cost maybe $15.
Oh, and they make excellent cat toys.

@applehilluser: I plan on using them for after the ceremony. I REALLY dislike the idea of anything being thrown at me.

Thanks for all the replys. I guess I should have called them ribbon wands, not wedding wands. I could see how cool it would be to have everyone waving them at the end of the ceremony. Handing them out with the programs would be perfect. Also, one recent wedding that I went to had a line dance at the reception that snaked around the the dance floor and tables. A few ladies at the front of the line were waving some kind of white cloths. I thought that might also be a time people could use their ribbon wands. Don’t know. Don’t want to be corny but we plan on a fun time for all. Still thinking about it.
