Hi! I am looking to build a personal wedding website for my upcoming 2009 wedding, and am looking for some ideas/inspiration. Has anyone here made a site (or seen a great wedding site) that theyd like to share??
I looked at a lot of the wedding websites, but decided that I couldn't personalize them enough, so I ended up just creating my own. I actually used microsoft small business's website creator and it's been working out pretty well. I also decided to purchase a domain name from godaddy.com so that it would be easy for everyone to remember. You can check it out at:
We used wedshare.com and we love it! The link to our site is in my profile if you want to have a look. They have tons of designs. I also did a trial run with weddingwindow.com and they were great too.
www.mywedding.com worked great for me! Ours is www.mywedding.com/michelandheather you can choose to have it public like ours or give guests a password if you want it private. I was able to add lots of neat things to ours....and it is completely free!!!
I forgot to mention that I am a graphic designer, so I know how to build websites from scratch (versus using a premade template). I am planning to build it from scratch granted I can find the time! I am getting tons of great design ideas from all of your sites, as well as ideas about what type of content to include. Thank you all for sharing, I am getting really excited about creating my own site!!

Simple...fun...and hopefully, helped lure our guests to Jamaica. (We had 10 more guests than expected! How great!)
