Hi! I am looking to build a personal wedding website for my upcoming 2009 wedding, and am looking for some ideas/inspiration. Has anyone here made a site (or seen a great wedding site) that theyd like to share??

We are using wedding tracker - we like it so far.  If you go to www.weddingtracker.com there will be samples you can view.

Good Luck!

I just added a few reader posts on the Weddingbee Wiki that might help you out:

I looked at a lot of the wedding websites, but decided that I couldn't personalize them enough, so I ended up just creating my own.  I actually used microsoft small business's website creator and it's been working out pretty well. I also decided to purchase a domain name from godaddy.com so that it would be easy for everyone to remember.  You can check it out at:

Message me if you decide to do anything similar and need help.

We used wedshare.com and we love it! The link to our site is in my profile if you want to have a look. They have tons of designs. I also did a trial run with weddingwindow.com and they were great too.

www.mywedding.com worked great for me! Ours is www.mywedding.com/michelandheather you can choose to have it public like ours or give guests a password if you want it private. I was able to add lots of neat things to ours....and it is completely free!!!

we're using mywedding.com... it's pretty basic, but our website is just kinda a backup, we're not using it extensively, so that was ok. :)

Hi.  FI created our own like sourceofjoy.  Since my wedding is now only a week away, I feel like I can share it finally.

www.louisaandmatt.com

Simple...fun...and hopefully, helped lure our guests to Jamaica.  (We had 10 more guests than expected!  How great!)

Thanks everyone!!

I forgot to mention that I am a graphic designer, so I know how to build websites from scratch (versus using a premade template). I am planning to build it from scratch granted I can find the time! I am getting tons of great design ideas from all of your sites, as well as ideas about what type of content to include. Thank you all for sharing, I am getting really excited about creating my own site!!
