I did a lame about us.  I really should spice it up some more, I guess.  Especially because nothing I mentioned about my future plans (regarding work/school) is really working out hahah.

ETA: Our story is cute though.  I’ll share that with you:

James and Desiree started talking after meeting through a mutual friend’s Facebook.  They began talking through texts in August.  James wanted to make new friends and decided he would ask Desiree if she would like to hang out.  Desiree was often busy with work and with the new school semester that she kept turning him down.  He finally got her to agree to hang out on Labor Day weekend when she randomly told him she wanted to take one last trip down to Atlantic City. James picked Desiree up on a beautiful Saturday afternoon.  She was sitting on the porch with her grandmother.  Desiree’s grandmother later told her that she wanted to know who this “ginger” was standing on her porch.  Her mother questioned the same as she pulled up and saw the two of them leaving. Desiree’s mother and grandmother later found out the truth behind the story after telling them that James was picking her up to hang out with their mutual friend.  James was instantly attracted to Desiree’s personality and sarcasm as she was attracted to his.   The two of them have been inseparable since the walk on the boardwalk in Atlantic City.

We deactivated that section of the website.  If people are close enough to get an invite to the wedding they should already know about us!  I say if your fiance is adamant about keeping it then HE should have to figure out what to put on there : )

@tranquility: We totally get a laugh at how we first met.  My family was in absolute shock that I was hanging out with someone they never even heard of.  Hey, it happens!

Understandable.  Totally go for it then! 🙂 I did a FAQ section in addition to our stories. Play it up however you’d like.

@tranquility: We actually had the other one right the about us section. DH wrote about me and I wrote about him. It made it so much easier than trying to figure out what was important about me that people would want to read.

I didn’t do questions but I did rely more on funny anecdotes rather than “love story”.

I think a Q&A would be great!

eta: ie, “Where can you usually find Mr. Tranquil on a Friday night” “Where would Ms Tranquil rather be: reading a book or (insert unique hobby here)? then explain.

I took the About Us off our website.  I just felt like it was too hard to write and everyone who is invited knows us, so I didn’t feel we really needed one.

A questionaire type thing would be cute!  My MOH/BM are making a video with questions like the yahoo link.  They’re going to be asking my FH and then asking me to see if our answers are alike/if we agree.  So I think that’s a cute idea for the website!
