I'm just doing the registry page for our website and no matter how I write it, it sounds like I'm being greedy. :(

We've lived on our own for quite some time and have just bought our first home.  We will be doing a small registry at a traditional store for those that don't like to give money.  However, just like many people do a honeymoon fund, we have a bathroom fund.  Our place is all renovated except the bathroom so any money we get from the wedding will be used to renovate.  How do I word that?

If it's a website, I think you can pretty much tell that story in a blurb above the link to the store where you are registering.  Also register at a home improvement store like Home Depot or Lowe's.

To break the ice, I borrowed the following quote (don't know where she got it from) from my sister-in-law and placed on the registry page of our website:

    Your monetary blessings are appreciated
    Your gifts are welcomed
Your love and prayers are requested

    Good Luck!

this is what we have on our wedd-site:

Thank you for stopping by and visiting wedd-site!

We look forward to seeing you on our special day. Of course, all we ask is your attendance. However, if you cannot attend, your thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

We do realize that many of you may wish to give us a wedding gift to commemorate our union together. Since we already have most of the traditional wedding gift items, we have decided to offer our guests a popular new wedding gift alternative - our honeymoon registry.

    BLAH BLAH BLAH...
