Sooo, we are having an outdoor wedding and the reception is in the barn behind the ceremony garden/pond area. I have spent countless hours on DIY projects and looking at the weather projection for Saturday, I’m about to have a meltdown. I’ve been tracking like 3 weather websites, The Weather Channel, Accuweather, and Wunderground. Each is slightly different, however all are 30-50% showers. Is there a chance that the weather will change and those showers will go away from now to Saturday?! I’m in Ohio and there are supposed to be thunderstorms up until Friday. I was hoping it would clear up and then be beautiful for the weekend. Haha, wishful thinking I suppose.

@Amsy28: At this point I would say it’s still too early to know for sure how the weather will be. A friend of mine got married a few weeks ago and there was supposed to be a huge Nor’easter named Andrea, all week the weather reporters were being all dramatic about it.
The day came and it hardly rained!! AND to top it off she had BEAUTIFUL pictures because the sky was a stormy sky that was clearing. It was really amazing.
So I would advise not to stress yet! IF in fact the weather turns out to be not in your favor just think of the cool photo opps you could have! I think some of the most romantic photos I’ve seen are in stormy weather.
There is always a plus side! Fingers crossed that you do get a sunny day, though!

@Razzmatazz: Thank you! I am seriously a nervous wreck over it! I wouldn’t mind cloudy, just no rain!!! Haha

I agree with pp! Im currently in France, and went a walk in the countryside a few days ago with my camera and family. The sky was overcast and grey, but the photos I took came out amazing! It gives a soft glow lighting and overall just looks beautiful. So dont stress, you’ll still have fantastic photos even if its not a clear, sunny day!

@Amsy28 ; I’ve been stressing too… I’m supposed to be having a beach wedding next week! I decided come hell or high water, I’m getting pictures on the beach so I bought a nice giant ivory golf umbrella just in case! Anywho… having that back up plan has made me breathe a bit easier!
Also, since it’s summer there’s a good chance you’ll get a passing shower and then things will clear up!

@Amsy28: Are you by any chance in Toronto? The weather here has been BANANAS recently. I have had friends getting married the past two weekends and this coming weekend. All have been freaking out as the weather is crazy unpredictable this year. All I can say is relax, there is nothing you can do about it now
