Did anyone get married when it was already dark outside? how did your pictures turn out? did you take pictures before the wedding?

My main concern is it is dark by 6:00 and my ceremony starts at 6:30. I would love to see some night wedding pictures!

What kind of lighting are you having for the ceremony?  i'm assuming it's outside?

Yeah what kind of lighting will you have at the ceremony/reception?  Indoors or outdoors?

If you are worried about it being dark at that time, either if it is indoors or outdoors, plan with your photographer to start doing portraits 2-3 hours in advance of the ceremony!  So if you are getting ready early, prepare to plan to have the portraits started right after.  This was something I did last night for a NYC wedding.  The venue was hot, as in really sweet, but was already pretty dark inside and it was pretty nasty outside.  So we did our portraits right after the prep time in that building near any ambient light that was still there and brought in some strobes to fill.  Since we got that out of the way, it was a lot smoother.  So plan in much advance to shoot the portraits before the ceremony if you are worried that it will be too dark for you after your ceremony.

Depending on how your potential photog. lights it, he/she can pull off really sweet portraits in the dark, but that's pretty much for you and the FI.
