We’re buying our own alcohol for the wedding and since I’m the wine drinker I get to choose the wine… Fiance is in charge of the beer… (there’s no hard alcohol)
I know I want Reisling, I LOVE Reisling! Other than that I’m at a loss. Martha Stewart suggests Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
Should I stick with those, throw in another red, or pick something else? I’m not sure what’s most popular… I don’t want to get TOO many choices… Two reds and Two whites is fine.

I’d try to get a dryer Riesling if you are getting one. Many people don’t like really “sweet” wine and some Rieslings can be too sweet. (I love them too, but know sweeter wines are usually a harder sell).
As for the others, I’d say Merlot and Cabernet or Pino Noir would be good for the reds and then either a sav blanc or pino grigio for the other white (I personally do not like chardonnay).

If you are only doing 1 white and 1 red I would recommend a Pinot Grigio and a Cabernet Sauv. Simply because they please the most people. (You could have a bottle of Reisling just at your table)
If doing two whites and two reds I would stick w/your reis and do either a chardonnay or pinot g, then do a cab and pinot noir.
Obviously it is your choice though. If people don’t like it – tough!
