It's too late for me, but I just had to let you know your post made me giggle. I love the way you described the overwhelming feelings.
Weddings are crazy stressful - everyone says so, but you don't really get it until you're there in the thick of it. I'm glad you're reclaiming the zen!
@cheerful I know, I couldn't believe I was feeling like that, I kept thinking, but this is supposed to be one of the happiest times of my life, why do I feel like throttling someone, he he ;-) once you get a handle on it and recognise your feelings and where they're coming from, it gets easier though, thank goodness :-)

So like most other modern brides, as soon as my engagement ring was on my finger, before I could even muster the words "I can't believe I'm getting married", I herd a strange sound in the distance, it was the sound of buffalo stampeding towards me, they were fast approaching and I had no idea what to do.............
I was getting phone calls, text messages, e-mails, people were posting on my face book page, questions questions questions and I had no answers, when is the big day, where are you getting your dress, what kind of ceremony will you be having, someone even asked me how much I would be spending on my wedding ring!!!! AAARRRGGGHHH..........................and breathe.....................................
So in my overwhelmed state of shock I found myself trawling the book shops of Edinburgh desperately trying to find some salvation, surely someone somewhere had some advice on how the deal with this, 'surely' I said to my self.
Then like a little beckon of hope, there it was, sitting on the shelf of a West end book shop 'Wedding Zen, calming wisdom for the bride', as I turned each page reading and absorbing the comforting and enlightening observations, I felt myself relax and start to feel in control again.
Needless to say, I bought the book and it now sits pride of place on my book shelf at home, calling me over when ever I need some reassurance.
So for any bride who has experienced the same feelings as I did, Wedding Zen is the new wedding bible..............................................................:-)
