so= significant other 

 

fi= future intended or fiancé 

 

moh- maid of honor

Well it depends how you’re feeling at the moment. It could be short for “dear husband” or “dork husband” or “damn husband”.

@McBezel:  I have no clue what “OH” is and I see that a lot too…something husband I assume but I cannot get the “o” in it lol

@Penelopeee:  LOL I’ve only ever read it as “dear husband”… 

 

MIL – Mother In Law    SIL – Sister In law    FIL – Father In Law    BIL- Brother In Law. 

FMIL – Future Mother In Law … etc etc 

umm… that’s all I got…

wow! thank you for this post bc you know how dumb i am—i thought DH stood for dead husband! OMG IM SO TERRIBLE! I was seeing that all over the place and I am like oh my, that poor girl! 

thanks for clearing this up, I am glad to know no one is dead!

This is great.  I’ve been on here for a while and still don’t get some of them.  I figure most things mean husband or fiance and if not I try to figure it out with the story.  The one that used to really make me laugh was FMIL.  I kept reading it as FML which in some stories is quite fitting.  Also, BM.  That’s pretty much the only way my Grandmother would ever describe needing to get to the toilet.
