I've been waiting for the right moment to plan this, and what's a better time than when weddingbee-ers in other parts of the country are meeting up too!
This is in the San Diego board, but if we want to find a halfway point between SD and OC or pick OC and have it be a SoCal meetup, I'm down!
Let's vote on a location and then we can pick a specific date...I'm thinking Jan 21,22, or 23.
January 22 or 23 would work great for me! It really doesn't matter where - I'd just love to meet other SD bees!
Me too! I prefer mid-week in San Diego though...I'll try if it's not, but probably won't be able to make it. Wine bar?
We could always do it the week after...January 21, 26, or 28 work for me!

SD is good for me. I can do the 22nd or 23rd!
I think we should just pick a date and go with it. If we wait til EVERYONE can come it probably won't happen for quite a while!

I live near Mission Valley. I *think* I could do the 21st, but it would depend on the time - I know traffic going north isn't the best (if we go with the Wine Steals in Solana).
I'm totally down for more central too Ali...just saw a lot of posts for N County. Maybe if we did 6:30 or 7 traffic would be ok?
Ooh Latte, thanks for setting this up!! I have been so out of it lately...I live in Mission Valley so I could do that or pretty much anywhere in SD, but I really cant' go any further than that.
There are a whole buncha Wine Steals...I think there's one in Point Loma, Hillcrest, ... all over! Having it on a Thursday is kind of weird, I would prefer 22nd? But can try to make 21st work.
Miss Burgundy - if it's up North maybe we could carpool? I'd be down for the PL or Hillcrest Wine Steals too.
me too for Hillcrest or Pt. Loma, but I still prefer Thursday - can't do Fridays...
Wine Steals in Cardiff/Solana Beach is pretty central to SD and North County and definitely delicious! :)
I would be ok with Wine Steals in Solana Beach, and I would be ok for Thursday (but the week is booking up fast, better put it on my calendar...)
@SanDiegoAli- I will probably just pull a late shift at work and go straight there, since I work in Sorrento Valley. Otherwise if it's any further north I would def. say carpool.

I hven't been on weddingbee for a week or so, been busy with other stuff, but just saw this post. I live in Carmel Valley (part of Del Mar) so I'd definitely like to meet up with some fellow San Diego girls. Is Thursday in Solana Beach the plan? How do we all figure out who everyone is? Just look for the table full of girls and hope you get the right group? haha Sounds fun though, good way to meet new people and see what ideas other girls are coming up with.

@sdhoney - I was wondering the same thing! Maybe a rose on the table a la "You've Got Mail" j/k. We'll just look for people like look totally lost and wave?
Or we can just yell "Sarah" since at least two of us are Sarahs...hmm...I think I've been on here too long today.

As much as I totally hate to say it, my life has been INSANELY busy this week and I really don't know if I will be making it out. I am going to try though! 6:30 @ Wine Steals in Solana should be fine (although I think it's supposed to rain really hard on Thursday?)
I think the worst of the rain is supposed to be tonight and tomorrow...at least I hope so!

ok, sorry I'm going crazy on this thread, but what about we all wear red (for haiti). then we'll be easy to find!
Is pink like red? haha, sorry I do not think I own one stitch of red! My closet is full of black with some pink blue white and a couple various colors thrown in, but mostly black. I've been super slammed too, but I think it's important to take time sometimes to meet new people and take a little break for yourself, right? You can never have too many friends in life and networking never hurt anyone. Anyways, I'll leave my number on here (just don't sell it on ebay) in case there are any changes, etc... or if anyone needs to contact me. I was thinking it would be easier to determine RSVPs there, but I didn't get much response!
I hope the weather doesn't make driving crazy. According to the weather reports the wind and rain are supposed to die down in the early evening. Hope that holds up!
I'm still planning on it, but a little scared to be driving the opposite direction from my house, then having wine, then driving some more.
I thought thunderstorms were supposed to start soon...looks nice at the moment though.
At my school, the parking lot was flooding cars!
