So I just created my wedding map on weddingmapper.com

If you haven't done this already and have a lot of out of town guests I suggest you do.

Maybe I'm simple minded but I thought it was friggin amazing!  You enter all these places on the map...like the hotels you have blocked off for your guests the place your getting married the ceremony (although ours are at the same place), restaurants, things to do, the rehearsal....EVERYTHING!!!!!

and then when you click on a place listed or on the map it gives you a drop down box of all the other locations entered by me on the map that you can get directions to and from...

I was so amazed!  What a great idea.  If this an old site that all of you know about already i'm sorry for boring you with this but I thought it was great and just wanted to share!

To find the locations of our wedding and directions to and from all of them check out our interactive map!

That's the link I have on our wedding website...if it doesn't work my apologies but if it does super!

I used WeddingMapper too, and loved it!  No input from my guests yet though.

I tried weddingmapper too and I agree, it was great.  My problem is that I am having a destination wedding, 4 different hotels, and a few different functions over the weekend so the mapping, directions, etc. got a bit more than I could handle on my own.  Also, when I tried to make my maps look fancy...I failed miserably.  I found birdstone on etsy and she is creating maps, accomodation cards and direction cards for me.  The maps are beautiful and coordinate with my invitations.  The best part is that she is making them in digital format for only $30 total and then I can print them myself.  I plan on printing it on lightweight ivory paper so that I don't spend a fortune on postage.  I would recommend her to anyone who, like me, found that weddingmapper doesn't work for your circumstances and may be looking for an affordable alternative.

We set up weddingmapper to- no comments from my guests. although my uncle did say he would just use his trusty GPS Weddingmapper.com : wedding Icon Neutral. But at least if you set it up for your guests, they have something to use as a reference. I hope.

Did you girls pay the $9.95 to upgrade your account in order to get all the bells & whistles?

We used it without the upgrade.  I think the guests who were planning on exploring the area used it and the ones who were content to stay in the hotel ignored it! :)

We are using weddingmapper too!  I showed it to my father today, and he managed to get confused in about 2 seconds.  Weddingmapper.com : wedding Icon Sad  However, my sisters and brothers in law thought the site was great!  I think for some guests it might be a little confusing, but others will find it very helpful!

What a great idea! Most of my guest list will be from out of town, so this should be really helpful to have. Thanks for sharing!

Its a cool concept but i think i will stick to just using googlemaps.  It does everything wedding mapper does minus the ads.  Suggestions are cool but I feel yelp.com is better for those kinds of things.
