isn't it a great feeling! My mother still has vases, china that we used from her wedding 26 years ago. I love it!
Knowing we're going to be using our gifts with our new family is such an exciting thing, and humbling!
I'm so happy for all of you! I even forwarded this thread to my husband because the sentiment is so sweet. I can't help laughing though that the "happy present" thread has two responses and the "nobody got us presents" thread has 34 to date!
I am feeling it! Now I am on my honeymoon and just got a clip in my email from our videographer and it is soooooo amazing. The emotion that it captured is so great to see.
I could tell you that I got such a strong sense of love when I saw my H and I toasting with my mothers crystal champagne flutes ... I am so happy I used them!

i agree! using our china and having so many lovely gifts to fill our home....really makes it feel full of love!
I definitely felt really loved and blessed after our wedding. It was kind of amazing to see all the people we love most in the world all in one room together. We have one photo that shows almost the whole reception room with everyone raising their glasses in a toast. I love looking at it because it reminds me how happy everyone was and how great it was to share our wedding day.

I just brought up my gifts from the wedding and put them away. I felt an overwhelming sense of love from my friends and family. Each gift was designed to wish us well on our path and set up our family. Registries are beautiful. They really are. We use my mother's waterford crystal that she registered for fourty years ago for every Christmas dinner. All of the great things that I got will be the same.
