There are so many weddings here and all around the internet – what aspects of weddings catch your eye?
I find that I tend to pay closer attention to Catholic weddings because I can identify a bit more closely with that type of ceremony. And I also notice when (especially the bride) includes and highlights her nieces or nephews because mine are my total joys and I couldn’t wait to share our wedding day with them. Another thing that catches my eye are weddings set in New England – being a Connecticut girl I like to see places ‘close to home’…
So what about the hive? What catches your eye when you see weddings online?

Very formal weddings always catch my eye. Lots of candles, evening weddings, and wonderful table settings. We are having a semi-formal wedding so I definiatly like to see other weddings and try to fit some of their huge budget ideas into my DIY budget.
I also love the country chic weddings, I find them so intimate and pretty.

- Wedding: August 2010 - Ocean View Villas/Jasmine Seafood Restaurant
Wedding photos where you can see absolute joy in the people’s faces captivate me.

good photography always catches my eye 😉
other than that, muted colours (antique, not pastel), texture (like wood, wheat grass, or ‘natural’ things), delicious looking food/great food presentation (whether it’s a candy bar, cupcake/pie buffet or what have you), big trees, lanterns, diy paper elements (like paper cranes etc).

Outdoor or other non-traditional venues always catch my eye. We’re having a non-traditional venue, and in my experience other couples with similar venues have the types of details and ceremonies that I find most captivating.

I love seeing weddings with DIY elements that are pulled off well :). I love non-traditional venues, too, even though we’re not actually having one!

Fancy weddings. Men in tux’s and the bride in a formal gown. Can’t take my eyes off and always make DH stop to stare with me! 🙂

- Wedding: October 2010 - The Atlantic Beach Club
Nautical and New England inspired weddings always catch my eye, since it was the type of wedding we planned. I’m also always intrigued by non-traditional elements. I love seeing creative and unique ideas.
