I was very confused by them and was actually pretty scared for some reason!  Just all the social customs and norms that were all new to me, it really freaked me out.  I also had to walk down the aisle and be a ring bearer when I was 11 with the bride’s (now my aunt) step-brother who was 13 and HOTT.  I was completely terrified to walk down the aisle with him because I kind of thought it might mean we would have to get married, LOL!  Oh, the silly things kids think and feel!

I loved weddings. I loved getting dressed up, I loved the bride’s dress, I loved the fairy tale behind it all. I loved dancing at the reception too.

I’ve only been to 2- the first one I was like 3 and all I remember is the shoes I had to wear were uncomfortable. The second was when I was 13 and a “junior bridesmaid” (actually giant flower girl) in my aunt and uncle’s wedding, and I mostly remember my aunt being the condescending bitch that she is and the actual wedding being boring.

I LOVED weddings, this is why I couldn’t imagine not having kids at mine! Little girls dream of their moment 🙂

I didn’t get to go to any as a kid 🙁   I was really sad when my cousins got married and I was never invited!

I was the flower girl in one cousins wedding  I remember it being fun, other than the MOH not wanting to walk me down the aisle ’cause she thought i’d take the attention away from her (not even kidding!) and none of the others invited me. So those a-holes aren’t invited to mine cuz they’re too old.  lol 😉

I’m pretty sure i was super oblivious to everything that was going on in the world and in my life before the age of like 16.. hahaha looking back now, I remember going to weddings, but I don’t remember what I thought or felt about them.  I’m not even sure I knew what they were or what was going on.

I was a flower girl in my cousin’s when I was like 5 and I remember being really nervous.  The only other wedding I had gone to was my uncle’s and I was ~17 and tried to sneak beer.  Neither was very enjoyable and I hated having to wear a dress.

I went to several weddings as a kid but all I can remember is one, and for that I mostly remember that the bride was sick from having eaten bad chicken salad at a shower a couple days before. I was fascinated by the girl in the big white dress that I heard had been puking all day but who pulled it together to get through the evening. I’ve actually been a little scared of chicken salad my whole life because of this.

All I remember besides that is that the church was really pretty, and I liked the candles.

And then I don’t think I went to another wedding until I was in high school.

I thought they were fun!

My flowergirl (even two years later) still gets all excited about how she got to be in my wedding and wear a “princess dress”!
