hi bees! I had chicken nuggets and french fries for dinner..work was BORING (hence my being on WB all day).  I'm in the midst of searching through youtube for some ceremony songs but do you think I can find the instrumental versions I'm looking for? NO!

Dinner? I should think about that. Tonight we are stuffing envelopes and sending out the invitations!

@marlew How I miss chicken nuggets. I'm 29 days nugget sober.

@CaMoFoJo-Bro, have you tried making your own? They are pretty easy if you have basic pan frying skills!

Hey Bees! Love me some Post-A-Thon.

We're in desperate need of grocery shopping, so I think dinner is going to be a salad with whatever makings we have left, haha.

    @cammofojo - you're crazy!

@lorienne - that's my next step!  A couple of them are new (from Alicia Keys new album) so I imagine that no one has done a piano/violin cover yet, but the other one I found a while back and now I can't!  It's Cirque Du Soleil - O (The song is called O from their show O).  The A.Keys songs are Wait Till You See Me Smile or That's How Strong My Love Is.  I <3 these songs and think they'd be awesome for procession, if only I could figure out what I want for the recession!  Going to be doing some serious Hive searching in the next few days :)

ooh ooh question! for CaMoFoJo... or whoever... did ya'll DIY your invites? how'd that go? we're tossing the idea of making our own back and forth and the std's took sooo long that we're a little bit intimidated, lol. but i'm being super picky and can't find any that i absolutely love, and the custom route is a bit pricey. ideas? input? should we do 'em? am i crazy?

I'm semi-DIYing my own invites.  I designed them and used a local printer to print them/cut them to size, and found a semi-cheap pocket vendor to help me out with cutting/scoring while I stick the sides down on the pockets.  It's costing me about $2.50 CAD an invite (120 invites)

There's a chance for snow in our forecast tonight, so I'm grumbling about that right now. I thought it was spring?

hmm, i found a super awesome artist on etsy to design my entire suite for $35 (score!), so i'm thinking of going that route and then just printing them myself... i'm just not so sure how they'll turn out. i don't want them to look cheap, ya know. but i also don't want to dish out a ton of money on them either, ha!

    Hello everyone!

Hmmm... what's for dinner?  Umm leftovers from Easter. lol (There is some lamb and beef roast left over)

I love leftovers.  They always taste better the day after I cook it.

We diy'd our invites. Well I got the BRIDES damask kit from Michael's, had them printed at Kinkos, and add a flower (with one of those little rhinestone in the middle ...the ones that are next to the invites at Michael's) to the RSVP card because I thought they were a bit plain.

i guess i wouldn't really mind doing them myself, but the fil's keep pushing this one family friend who has a print shop. they said he can give us a great deal, but i have no idea what that means; like a great deal $0.50/invite (ha! i wish) or great deal like $5/invite on something that's normally $8/invite (outrageous either way, imo!). so yeah, i'm trying to come up with a way to convince myself and fi that doing them ourselves is the way to go but without hurting fil's feelings.

We are going to a healthy restaurant for dinner, and talk about what we will talk about in couples counseling tomorrow morning (at 8am because that works for bf...I need to have lots of coffee beforehand!). Hoping to catch Oprah's rebroadcast tonight of her interview with the cast of GLEE...I love that show!

@future.mrs.v - I just did my MOH's wedding invites, and she was going to go through a family friend for a deal...it was such a headache to meet up with the guy (he works business hours 9-5, but so does she) that it ended up becoming more of a hassle. She ended up saying to FI that it just wasn't working and he was ok going somewhere else.

I read that there are actually 29 ingredients in a chicken nugget from McD's and even more in some other chain's nuggets. 29! Really, what more should be in it besides chicken and an egg dredge/bread crumbs? CaMoFoJo, I am soooo with you on nugget boycott.

I had oven fried potatoes and a grilled, homemade sausage patty for dinner. :)

Also, emily, I am jealous of your ebay-shopping-saver-skills.

So here is the catch. Find what you like on ebay and add it to your watch list. Then be home the last 5 minutes of the bid. Don't put a bid on the item until the last minute of the auction. Refresh the screen as often as possible. Bid using odd numbers (5.27 vs 5.25). Good Luck!

Also, FI told me that FFIL and FSIL are coming on FRIDAY (as in the day after tomorrow) and he didn't tell me! FSIL is visiting a college nearby .... eeekkk!!!!

@marlew - ugh, then that means it's going to be even more of a headache for us b/c this invitation guy is in our hometown, where we're getting married, where we do not currently reside, lol. oh yeah, and he doesn't have a website or email or anything. "/ i guess i'm just gonna have to break it to fi softly who will then in turn break it to the fil's... ack!
