I came across a website called WedWu where brides can “name their own price” on different service packages. I’ve received an incredibly affordable quote on DJ services from this website. But according to the website, you don’t actually meet with your vendor until the day of your event. So naturally, I’m a bit leary.
Soooooo, what do you all think? Does it seem legit? And more importantly, are there any other brides out there who have already used this website for any of the services they offer???
It’s so tempting to go for it, bc we will save several hunded dollars, but we don’t want to get scammed either!

I wouldn’t do it. The possibility of them not showing up aside, wouldn’t you want to discuss what they’re doing prior to the day of?

Do they give you any sort of references for the DJ? I would want to know their history at other events prior to booking them or any of my vendors!

You need to meet with your vendors before hand to discuss logistics and whatnot. You also need to meet with them to find out their personality. We met with two band owners, one was amazing and one had the biggest ego in the world (it was his way or no way). Last thing I wanted was a man telling me that I should play “YMCA” or else the party was going to suck.
This seems like a terrible idea.

For people wanting to plan every detail and personality of the provider is important along with being willing to pay the higher price for their wedding services we are not a solution for you.
But, if price matters, and you want peace of mind that you have a qualified professional then we may be the service for you at a great price. Almost like an online Wedding Planner, but we actively qualify all vendors.
The interesting part is that we use the same vendrs everyone calls, we just buy their unused time and pass that savings onto the bride. Same vendor, same quality, less cost.
Just “Name-Your-Price”, and we do the rest.
