whenever i'm home alone now every little noise freaks me out too! fi is going away for the weekend in a couple of weeks, and i'm already dreading it.
I am working! And the district manager is in today! And I get my review! So depending how that goes I will be going to margaritaville, or looking for a new job while in margaritaville! jk! I am sure it will be fine.
With the amount of exclamation marks I used you'd think I was in margaritaville now!
My hubby has been out of town all week (except this time he's actually NOT overseas so I get to talk to him... yay!) but he'll hopefully be back Friday so I get to spend some time with him. The last week it's just been me & my "boys" :)
@stephinPA: I had this same type of weekend last weekend! I am such a baby and I too get scared of every little noise. Im always happy to have a pitbull when DH is gone because he becomes really protective of me. He barks at the wind!
This weekend we are hosting brunch for our friends on Saturday. I think I am going out with some girlfriends in DC on Saturday night. Looking forward to that!
Are you going to do anything fun around the house or will it just be a weekend of vegging out?
@TamiN: adorable!
@PitBulLover: Okay, you and I have been on here a lot and I feel like an idiot if you've mentioned before that you live in the DC area. I used to live there and we always go down at least once a year because we love it so much. I would love to meet you the next time we come down if it works out! As for projects this weekend, if it's not raining too much, I'm going to start clearing out our front flower bed of the leaves and branches from fall adn winter. Saturday, Boris is getting bloodwork done to check on the thyroid and then I will take him to the local dog park for training exercises. We don't go in the actual running area but stay a nice distance. He needs training around other dogs, so it's perfect. And Sunday, after body combat practice, I'll do the same with Milo.
Maybe a little grocery shopping but just some me time...and doggie time.
DH leaves on March 16th for 6 months. I am not happy at all. I know this is our third year with this job, but damn. LOL.
@Lindsay12.31.2010: hmmm, now 2 weeks vs 6 months. Wow. Bless you heart for 6 months. I'd miss him so much. Is he in the Armed Forces?
@Lindsay12.31.2010: that really sucks, I would be seriously bummed! :-( How do you do it? You must be a strong woman!
@stephinPA: yes I do live just outside of DC in Falls Church! I grew up in Maryland and moved to NoVA right after college. First in Arlington then Tysons Corner now Falls Church. Where did you used to live? I would love to meet up with you whenever you guys come down! It will be nice to clean our your flower bed - it will remind you that spring is almost here!! I hope everything is okay with your dog!
I lived in Fairlington and then right outside of Old Town.
I just love it down there! My husband will be in Alexandria this Fri-Sat for an exam for a potential job.
@stephinPA: Fairlington is such a cute neighborhood! I would love it if we could take our dog to the Shirlington dog park, but hes terrible with other dogs! My husband works in Alexandria just about 10 minutes from Old Town. That would be awesome if your husband got the job! I love this area :-)
When FI is gone and I am alone with the dogs- every (and I mean EVERY) little noise freaks me out. The last time 1 of the puppies got really scared and nervous and kept looking up the stairs. He was sitting at the bottom absolutley shaking. I really freaked out at that point. I grabbed the largest knife from the knife block and went upstairs with knife drawn! I looked behind the shower curtain, in all the closests, under the beds, everywhere! Nothing! LOL! I'm such a paranoid freak sometimes!!
Good luck to you! Enjoy your alone time!!
@stephinPA: No, he works for professional baseball. He leaves for spring training on the 16th. I'm going to occupy my time with lots of shopping.

I have to admit, I'm so excited to have a weekend to myself...but the downside is, after about the first day and 1/2, I start to miss my husband.
And then he's gone at a training class for two weeks. Then every little noise I hear at night will freak me out. But let's not think about that. Focus on the now.
SOOOOOOOO, I've got a low-key weekend planned for me and my 'boys'. Not many major obligations and I'm thrilled!
What are your weekend plans?
