For me, Labor day weekend was dedicated to laboring away on crafts 🙂 My friends helped too, and we got so much done.
The biggest, and by FAR the most time consuming project, was the so-called “Easy DIY Tissue Paper Backdrop,” a tutorial I found on Ruffled. Sure, each inidividual piece of tissue paper was easy to apply, but my GOSH it took forever to complete one board! I was working on it from 12:30 to 8:30 (not without breaks, but still!) And that was with a friend helping pre-cut pieces of tape! But in the end, I think it was worth it:
My friend made one too, so we will put them together for the backdrop for the photo guestbook.
We also put the first coat of paint on our big frame that will hold the escort cards:
I made out all the placecards, and my friend hot-glued them on their “stems”:
I sewed the ring bearer pillow, and my Maid/Matron of Honor decorated the flowergirl baskets:
And we did a thousand other things too, like the groomscake toppers, the program design, the guestbook madlibs, and more! It was a very productive weekend 🙂

I like the blue board’s color, and it looks like it’s a “shag rug” LOL
The baskets are pretty, what color flowers are going in there?
AND you did that all this weekend? You were a busy bee!

@couawilou: Oh yay! Glad you like it 🙂 I am goign to look at your DIY progress next! And OMG, I know! Four days!!!!
@happyface: LOL, not the look I was going for, but okay! The baskets are going to have yellow rose petals, which I just ordered from a local shop this morning! And yep, it was chock full of stuff – I didn’t leave the house once, which is saying a lot for me (I am NOT a homebody!)
