Anyone trying some new recipes this weekend? Here in New England we are looking at a wild and wooly weekend. Today is oddly in the high 60’s but a cold front is looming and the coastal area is bracing for gale force winds so apparently November is here! Since this time of year is great for snuggling in and cozying up, I like to cook! Tonight I’m trying a new recipe for Cauliflower Pizza Crust. Over the weekend I’ll cook up some kale chips just for fun. I saw recipes for black bean and sweet potato chili so I might have to make that too. …I know… I’m already getting ahead of myself! 🙂
Anyone else going to try a new recipe this weekend? I’d love to get more ideas!

@LilRhodyGem: Hmm. We ate out tonight like little pigs (hello, Shake Shack), but I might be attempting to make some new football snacks on Sunday.
Cauliflower pizza crust sounds interesting – how was it?

We cooked together tonight. I made Curried Butternut Squash Soup and he made flatbread with thinly sliced apples, blue cheese and crumbled Italian sausage. After coming out of the oven he topped it with arugula and pecans tossed in a Honey Dijon dressing.
I decided we are going to make that recipe as one of the hors d’oevres at a Christmas cocktail party we are hosting. I will however use phyllo pasrty so it’s not quite so heavy.

Tonight I stuck to a tried and true recipe (Benihana’s fried rice). Tomorrow we are thinking of going out for dinner. Sunday I am thinking I may try to make a buffalo chicken ring for the game, but I am not fully committed to that plan.

I’m cooking 3 new things this weekend:
Fruity pork steaks
Blueberry and chocolate muffins
Mexican meatball soup (in the slow cooker)
Soup is cooking now, muffins are cooling and pork steaks are for tomorrow!!

Tonight we are having a slow cooker pork stew as we are off furniture shopping today.

I made a two things Thursday for this past weekend. We went on a weekend trip with several friends. I made cinnamon rolls and a chocolate peanut butter cake, both from Laura Vitale. Then last night I made pizza dough and made a stromboli for dinner. I am at a loss as to what to do tonight. Either Green chili chicken or something else.

FI wanted meatloaf this weekend, so I tried out a new recipe for that which turned out pretty good. FI thought it was excellent. I also made some mashed potatoes to go with that and of course some veggies.
For breakfast Saturday I made some blueberry biscuits and turkey sausage.
