My husband and I are going to Asheville for valentine’s day weekend. We are going to be staying in a bed and breakfast and definitely going to Biltmore on saturday. We are not overly familiar with the area and want to have a nice, not super fancy, dinner on friday night. Do any of ya’ll have any suggestions of where to go?

@britt821: I haven’t been to Asheville myself, but I’m hoping we can go for our honeymoon. Out of curiosity, which inn will you be staying at? There’s one I’m begging FI to book for our honeymoon called Cedar Crest Inn.

@britt821: I don’t have any dinner suggestions (I was there for a wedding; we ate dinner at the reception) but you MUST go here for breakfast one day, even if your breakfast is included with your room. It was so amazing. It made me wish I had two stomachs.

I go to Asheville yearly and it’s really easy to find good food there. Tupelo Honey Cafe is my go-to place and I think it has a nice but laid-back atmosphere. They have multiple locations too – we have always had to wait 30+ minutes at the one downtown, but we’ve been seated right away at the other locations. Carmel’s is very nice too and in a good location downtown. A bunch of my friends rave about The Junction as being a good date night place, but I haven’t personally been there.
Oh yeah, and if you and your DH even remotely like beer, you can find amazing beer in pretty much any part of Asheville.

@DuckEBee: We are staying at the hill house bed and breakfast! I am super excited, neither of us have ever stayed at one before!
@DomesticDiva: I’ve heard lots of good things about that place, we may definitely have to check it out! Thanks so much for the suggestion!
@bleusteel: Thank you so much for your suggestions, we will be definitely hitting up some good beer while we are there!
@KMoon5314: Chocolate truffles?! We are SO going there, thanks for the tip! 😉
