My SO had no plans for tonight but as the day has continued it is clear that tonight is not the proposal night as he is now making plans for us to go out with friends. I know the ring is “put together” as he called it, so I’m on pins and needles waiting for the big moment.
I always assumed weekends are the best times to propose but I am now wondering how many week night proposals happen.
We have no “big dates” coming up, ie birthday’s, anniversaries. So I look forward to each weekend wondering, what if this is it!
My nails are freshly painted but the wait continues. I always put the engagement excitment on hold during the week and look forward to the weekends.
I’m wondering if other bee’s keep the hope during the week days and if their are happy week day engagemnt stories out there!

Weekday proposal here. I wish it had been the weekend, so I wouldn’t have been stressed about work the next day…DH proposed the night before parent-teacher conferences!

He proposed on a Wednesday…We moved into our first apartment together (our first place we picked together, he had moved into prior). It was fun calling everyone to tell them because they were all at home, just making dinner and stuff.

I have specifically told my DP that her proposal needs to be during the weekend so we have time to enjoy ourselves 🙂

I’ll take a proposal any day of the week, Monday through Sunday!

Mine was a Thursday night, but it was sort of the weekend for me because I had classes Monday-Thursday.

Beggars can’t be choosers, but I would greatly prefer the weekend so I could have time to enjoy it and not worry about what I had to get done the next day. I’m a studenthave usually have homework and reading and a proposal doesn’t really fit in to that!

I don’t think it makes a difference. If the man is going to propose, he’s going to do it when he feels ready/most comfortable, won’t he?
What if it’s a Monday night? Are you going to say no, just because you have a week ahead?
The important point here is getting engaged, right? Whether he (or you) does it on a weekday or weekend is not.

Mine was a Thursday night. Because of how crazy busy our summer had been, in part because my job has me away for a week+ at a time most of the summer, that worked out the best for his planning. I was super suprised, it was awesome, we got to celebrate plenty that night and who cares about having to go to work the next day – I was engaged! 😀

I honestly don’t remember if he proposed on a weekend or a weeknight. If I had to guess, I think it was a weeknight because he proposed right before we drove up to visit family for Christmas.

NO CARE WHATSOEVER! Just as long as he proposes.

Dont get me wrong, I would take a proposal any day of the week. i would definitely be happy with a hey its Tuesday, lets get put a ring on this! I just know how busy our week nights are so i typically look forward to the weekends as proposal possible times. I begin to lose some of the hope once Sunday roles around.
I am a planner and feel helpless since this is out of my hands.

My DH proposed on a Monday. Now, we were on a mini-vaca and had a few days after and including Monday off so it’s basically like a weekend. I remember when I was waiting I wanted a weekend but honestly, in the moment, you really don’t give a shit or notice what day it is. 🙂

@starryeye: My fiance proposed on a weekday, but he also knew that I was super impatient about it. 😉
