During the week I eat great and even get in a little exercise but when the weekend comes and I’m on a different laid back schedule I undo everything from the previous week. Help! How can I stop eating so much on the weekends??

KDavis – That’s always a hard one. Unfortunately, there’s not a magic fix(that works for me, anyway). It always take good old fashioned discipline. Trust me, as I get closer to my wedding, I have the same problem, even though I should be buckling down! I think it’s the stress…:)
The best way that I’ve found is to not see my weekends as different from my weekdays. I try to maintain a similar schedule – wake up about the same time, still make sure to eat 5-6 small meals, work out(at least cardio) during each of those days. If I do allow myself a cheat, it’s not a “cheat DAY,” it’s a “cheat MEAL.” It’s all about moderation and not giving yourself any leadway to overdo it.
I’m right there along with you, so we’ll have to keep working at it together!

I use my weekend time at the gym to not rush my workout and do a little more. I think it helps keep you in the mindset. I don’t want to undo all my work at the gym, but if I do have a treat or tow, I’ve burned extra calories, too.

I’m bad on the weekend too. In fact, this weekend I did lots of “oopsies”. Chips and guacamole, cookies, icecream.. eeeeeep! I guess we just have to “undo” the bad stuff during the week by being super good 🙂

I do the SAME thing, its so frustrating because I can’t make myself change it, even though I know it’s not helpful! Honestly, you know what I think will help? When our weddings are closer. Obviously I don’t take that as license to binge and be unhealthy. After all, I don’t wanna just lose weight, I want to be healthy. But I’m the type, and maybe you are too, that needs a goal to stick with it- and what better goal than your wedding? Well you may have a better goal but I don’t, totally not gonna be flaunting a bikini body in this lifetime lol :o)
