Challenges or success from last week? n/a

 

Approach: Actually exercising now… using myfitnesspal as a guide for calories (sort of watching calories, but just plain eating better), probably incorporating more paleo meals into my diet…

Last Week: 141lbs (Started at 148lbs)

This Week: 138lbs

Lbs/Kgs to go: 8lbs

Weeks to the wedding: 18

Challenges or success from last week? Two of my Zumba classes were cancelled due to the instructor being OOT and her sub not showing up. Frown  I also had a few other obligations that kept me from getting time in at the gym like I normally would.  We are going to the beach this weekend, so I’ve been even more motivated to get in better shape! I’m also in the process of quitting smoking with Chantix.  It’s going OK, but I swear their is a link between smoking and eating because I feel hungry all.the.time.  A lady at work also quit two months ago using Chantix and has gained 20lbs…I’m desperately trying to stay out of the snack machine by bringing healthy snacks with me to work! 

I only have a little weight left that I want to lose, but I’m mostly just trying to tone up and get some definition in my arms.  I’ve been doing Zumba 2-3 times per week and I’ve also been doing a little weight training 2-3 times per week.  

Diet:  I cut out all sodas, and only drink water, juice, or the occasional sweet tea.  I switched to whole wheat breads & pastas, and cut out a lot of junk food snacking. Instead, I snack on fresh fruit or veggies in between meals.

@sera_archie:  Thanks! I was actually at 138lb a few weeks ago, but I got sick with a sinus cold and ended up not going to the gym, and eating whatever was easiest since I wasn’t feeling up to cooking.  I was upset that I had gained about 5lbs back, but I’m back on track now! My bikini is a major motivation! LOL

This weekend was FI birthday so there was a lot of eating out/drinks/cake. Looking forward to detoxing this week!

This Week: (weight) Same – 135lbs

Challenges or success from last week?

My challenges have been sweets. Normally I do not eat very much candy, or bakery (I have to eat Gluten Free)… But it is my birthday month so its been riddled with Cupcakes & larger than normal meals. Plus, I have been experiencing some health issues so I have been craving (regular) Coke and other Soda Pops.. The caffiene and sugar helps me to feel better…

So with feeling a little under the weather, my workout routine has been a little lax – i still wk out 6-7 days a week – but latetly its simply been walking my dog.

Today  I feel back on track and had an awesome workout @ the gym, filled with lunges, squats, and other muscle building exercises. Tonight, weather permitting, I am going to be walking the D.O.G.

Last week I instructed our Office Receptionist to slap my hand if I reach for the candy jar… the very next day she did and ordered me to hand back the candy bar I was trying to take – now I am too scared to even attempt it, LOL. For my afternoon pick-me-up I ate a delicious appleTongue Out

Last Week: N/A

This Week: 161.8 (I’m 5’7′ btw, so this puts me just a couple pounds into the overweight category)

Lbs/Kgs to go: 12-17

Weeks to the wedding: 15

Challenges or success from last week? Took an hour long spinning class yesterday – may be the most intense workout I’ve ever done.

Challenge – weekends + drinking

Approach: I use the Lose It app to count calories. I try to be very strict during the week but I’m more lax on weekends, and I eat out a lot so its harder to do. I’ve been working out 5-6 times a week (running, spinning, ellipitcal – I love cardio).

I’ve lost about 13 pounds since I got engaged 14 months ago but definitely feel like I’m getting down to the wire and I have to step it up.

This Week: 56.8 kgs (that’s 123 lbs)

Lbs/Kgs to go: 2-3 kgs or around 5 pounds (this is SERIOUSLY hard. I’m actually slim right now but I still want some things toned and tightened). 

Weeks to the wedding: 17

Challenges or success from last week? I did a workout after work with some colleagues!

Challenge – SNACKING. The amount of times my fiance and I have to go out for wedding-y things (and I end up eating quite a bit).

Approach: Keeping under 1200 cals a day. Trying to train for a 14K run by doing 5k runs. Try to work out 1-2 times a week, but will really try to go for 3. 

I know that on the surface this looks quite alright but I really do want to be at my healthiest, best shape at my wedding. It’s more of a health/fitness thing than a weight thing, to be honest. So I really need a big kick up the butt to get things going. 

So excited to do this with a whole bunch of people now! 🙂

@Starling13:  I’m a teacher, so there is ALWAYS snacks, treats, etc laying around.. 🙁  I do really well for awhile staying away.. and then all of sudden I can’t keep my hands off of them!!

This Week: +1.5 Horrible weekend. 

Lbs/Kgs to go: 21.5

Weeks to the wedding: 18

Challenges or success from last week? Challenges from last week were the long weekend. Three days of being busy and not focusing on what I was eating. Also being outside of my schedule makes working out harder. BAH!
