I think I'm alone here... Did anyone else gain weight during your engagement? Every girl i've talked to says they lost weight due to all the stress of wedding planning, but I'm pretty sure I've gained. Which makes me even more nervous because I have my final dress fitting in 2 weeks!!

Any advice for dropping weight fast?

Everybody handles stress differently - I personally also eat when I am stressed and so therefore I gain weight!

I wouldn't advise you to lose weight fast because you will most likely gain it back very very quickly - so you might drop it before your dress fitting and then gain it back over the next few weeks before your wedding! I would just start eating well and doing some cardio and hope for the best!

    Good Luck!

I too am a stress gainer! I always gained weight during Exam time in college. I am trying to watch what I eat now and get in better habits so I don't have that issue closer to the wedding. I don't know how much you are looking to lose but I lost 4lbs. in 2 weeks just by counting calories and increasing my exercise. It's not a crash diet so the results are not overwhelming but I use www.caloriecount.about.com to monitor my calories. You tell them your current weight, goal weight and date and they tell you how many calories you should have per day to reach that. Of course, you need a minimum of 1200 calories per day but if you decrease intake and increase activty you should be able to drop a few pounds before the big day. Good luck!

i gained weight during the first few months of my engagement! for some reason, i just wasn't motivated to diet or exercise, even though i had the constant image of that white dress sitting in my closet. lucky for me, i found out that i have some food allergies so now i'm off a lot of foods, especially wheat, so i'm thinking that will help a lot. unfortunatly i don't have advice for losing weight fast, i just wanted to let you know that you're not alone! good luck!

yes, I gained at least 15-20lbs! I've only really lost weight the past few months and that's because I've been watching/counting calories and what I eat and working out a TON.  The past month I've been 2 a day workouts and seeing a personal trainer for 2 months as well.  You're definitley not alone, find a personal trainer if you can afford it and get your diet in check <3 You can do it!

I gained weight, I think it had to do with us moving in together and I tend to eat more when we eat together. I also treated myself to drinks that packed on the pounds, both to celebrate and to reduce stress.

I've gotten things under control now, but I was dealing with so many changes and doing things without thinking.

I don't have any advice for dropping weight fast, especially if you're talking about just over a month. Just try to figure out what has changed, put things back in order, and start toward being healthy again without a deadline for yourself. It'll be much better to he happy and glowing on your wedding day than starved and weighing 5 lbs less.

I do not lose weight when I'm stressed -- I gain it. That said, I'm not stressed from wedding planning (our wedding is 3 years down the road, and I'm loving brainstorming), but I have gained weight during our engagement.

Dorsay - You're in MD right? Where did you go to get your trainer? I'm thinking about it...

I've been using http://sparkpeople.com/, I find it very helpful to SEE what I am eating everyday.
