@Katieann123engaged:  Hi month twin! I am in the same boat as you I want to lose 5lbs before my wedding! My dress fitting is coming up so that really made me realize it’s crunch time. I have been using the app myfitnesspal to track my calories and hired a personal trainer twice a week until the wedding. I found myself getting so overwhelmed with work and wedding planning that I would come home and not want to exercise. So I made the decision to splurge a little and hire a trainer. If that is not an option maybe try some fun exercise classes like Zumba, spinning etc. and switch it up to keep it interesting. Kinda! I’d like to lose a bit… I’m just focusing on eating well and exercising nearly every day and just hope it all falls into place… I definitely think that the closer the time comes the more motivation we will have !!

I’m trying to lose a *bunch* of weight before our wedding on Sept 14th. It is a short engagement (4 months) so I’ve had to work really hard to do that in a short time. I had a gym membership but find that I wont take the time to go if I don’t have someone counting on me to be there! I’ve hired a trainer ($300/4 weeks, I do 3 1-hour sessions per week) I will be with her for 8 weeks, and I find that this has helped me. FI and I have even started running a little bit outside of my training. we use the iphone/android App called 5K runner. 
I’ve also switched to rye bread, and cut out most of my starches and gluten. I’ve increased my fruit and veggie intake, and *mostly* cut out bad snacks. 
I would love to get down 2 dress sizes, but would be VERY happy with 1 dress size.

I’ve been using MFP since January – I’ve lost 17 lbs and I’d like to lose another 5-6lbs before our wedding in Sept. I try to eat clean and pseudo-paleo – no grains, dairy, or processed foods. I work out 5-6 times a week in small group classes – so its always a tough workout! 

You have enough time to lose a few lbs, just try to keep motivated and remember why you want to lose weight – don’t let the stress of the wedding get to you!

I’ve been using myfitnesspal since late February, & I’m down 46lbs! I’m worried about getting my dress to fit, especially if I reach my goal of 20 more down by 9/14!

I joined a fitness bootcamp and have also beeing using my fitness pal.  I have to say my fitness pal really works great.  I know for myself, it has made me very concious of what I eat and try to be really faithful in logging in everything I eat and all of the exercise that I do.  So far I lost 3 inches around the waiste and hips, gained muscle mass and lost 12 pounds.  This is the best I felt since I was in my 20’s.  The fact that I have a beautiful dress to fit into very soon was a HUGE motivator!  LOL

I second pp advise about My Fitness Pal – it’s a great way to keep track of your calories and I love that you can track your micro nutrients (carbs/fat/protein) as well. I also eat “clean” and my diet consist of mostly chicken breast (no skin), fish, grilled vegetables (squash, broccolli, peppers, onions, asparagus etc) oats, avocado, rice cakes, berries, nuts and some dairy (greek yoghurt and some goats cheese). It probably sounds awfully hard but I have lovely meals and really enjoy what I am eating. I also have so much energy because of it. I also do weight training (have a PT twice a week) and some high intencity cardio.

I am now down 13 pounds since April but in total I have lost 60 pounds now so I am pretty much where I want to be. I have my next dress fitting in 2 weeks and, as my dress is a zip back, I can’t really loose any more weight after that.
