I’m sorry to hear you’re in this understandably upsetting situation Frown. Have you spoken to your doctor about your concerns? Maybe there is an underlying problem that is preventing you from losing the weight.

@Lizz21:  I know that some people shed pregnancy weight pretty quickly. But 30lbs in 5 months is still very impressive and something to be proud of. I understand the disappointment about the weight gain, I put on some weight that I had planned to lose before getting pregnant, but never got my ass in gear (literally and figuratively), so I’ll have to lose the excess weight and whatever baby weight I gain after I deliver.

30 lbs in 5 months is plently. Just keep eating good foods and excercising. It will come off in time. Your body has been through a lot. It’s still going through a lot. Don’t be so hard on yourself. If you have a history of binge eating and bulimia I think you should talk to your doctor about it ASAP. I’d hate for this to trigger a relapse when you and your baby need to be healthy.

@Lizz21:  I am super impressed that you lost that much! Are you breastfeeding? It really helps you lose weight. I struggle too with losing weight. I tend to gain and lose the same 20 pounds which is a lot when you’re barely 5 feet. I feel like we always see such skinny women who starve themselves after pregnancy. We want to be so skinny and it is so harmful to us. I feel like seeing girls with perfect bodies almost makes me eat more because I get depressed. I used tvibe bulimic more than 15 years ago, so I get you. Commend yourself on your progress. Never deny yourself new clothing or other luxuries if you don’t lose as much as you want. We are our own worst enemies, isn’t that true for most women?

@Lizz21:  Let me get this straight; you were 97lbs before you got pregnant, and you are 5’10”. Color me confused but that doesn’t sound like a victoria’s secret model to me; it sounds sick. And you were probably turning heads for that reason.

I think anywhere between 120 and 140 is a healthy weight for you. So keep up the hard work and do some youtube workouts & eat healthy. Good luck.

MimozaShe was 127 pounds to begin with.  She was 242 when she gave birth and gained 115 total.

@future_mrs_sommer:  Oh phew, thanks for clarifying. I read the OP again and had missed that part.
