I am wondering if anyone has been able to lose weight by changing their eating habits prior to their wedding day? Or is in the process? I have health issues that prevent me from doing most activity, so I am looking for a good approach through diet. What has/is working for you ladies? I would like to lose about 20-25 pounds.

@cindalu: what you eat is 80% of weight loss! Drink only water, avoid carbs and sugar, stick to whole grains, lots of fruit and veggies and lean protein. Portion control is huge! Don’t eat more than what you need to get the proper nutrients and stay away from snacking on junk food. It can definitely be done.

No carbs, dairy or alcohol. Lots of salad/protein. The weight just started dropping off for me (and I workout 5x per week).

@cindalu: I am and have. I lost 14 lbs last month, I stop drinking soda and stop eating any type of bread and walk an hour a day. I also took the lipo-bc pills if I ate anything fatting or a big meal.

@cindalu: I’ve lost about 3 pounds in the last two weeks purely by buying a container of egg beaters. They’re essentially nothing but protein. I throw salsa and avocado on ’em, or hot sauce and nonfat Greek yogurt (which tastes just like sour cream) and they’re actually pretty satisfying. And ok they taste awesome with a side of tortilla chips but that spoils it just a little bit…

Try signing up for MyFitnessPal, which is a calorie counter and exercise tracker (www.myfitnesspal.com). And if you have a smartphone, there’s an app for MyFitnessPal as well.
Logging food is incredibly eye-opening, and you’ll find that you’ll begin to be much more conscious of what you choose to eat! It really helps with portion control.

I have been eating oraganic food and less meat and definitely cut out the sweets and soda. I lost almost 2 pounds in 3 days! Not saying that will work for everyone but for me it did, and it feels great to eat healthier and not put so much crap in your body! If you’d like some motivation we have a weight loss group going! its called In It To Think It Bees! Join Us 🙂

Thanks ladies for all the replies! I’m trying to reduce my calories, lower my sugar and carbs, and don’t eat processed food very often. It is so hard to stay on track though. I like to snack, and that is a huge downfall for me. I really like the scramble idea, sounds yummy!
@CTBride2016 I am new to weddingbee. How do I find the group? I tried using the search feature but couldn’t find it. Is there a separate section for groups?
