I need some motivation. wedding is in a few months and I have to drop some pounds. Anyone here want to join? We have to check in anytime we lose weight.
I am posting my current weight and my goal weight and wedding date.

Goal weight 145
Wedding date April 30th

Wedding is in August, but I want to lose 10 pounds by June.
I'm going to say that I will also need MUCHO motivation on the workout front ladies.

Here are some things to motivate us:
1. Our weddings are the most photographed days of our lives where we wear the most expensive outfits we own, we better look good!
2. Less fat on your body= lower chance of cancer (so I hear from the news-- i'm not trying to start a debate lol)
3. When we are healthy, our skin, nails, and hair all look better too!
Okay, here's what I did today to help myself get to my goal weight: I speed walked for 40 minutes and walked to the grocery store (about 3/4 mile) instead of driving.. pretty pathetic effort but it was over 90 degrees outside so I'm proud of myself for walking to the grocery store!
@kingytobe:Oh all the pictures! I'm terrified of my "back fat" aka "muffin top" hangin' over my gorgeous, strapless gown. UGHHH! And way to go on the walking! It's more than I've done lately :/
I do have "The Wedding Workout" from Women's Health DVD that I plan to start ASAP. Guess I'll get on that Sunday, and the treadmill. It's in the bag ;)
YAY!!! im so happy you all want to join!! I have a gym membership and I am doing the Wii just dance 2 workout program.. 30 day shred wasn't my thing so if anyone wants it I will send it to you for free!!
Anyone doing colon cleansing or diet tea, diet pills?? I hear Alli worked but gives you oily uncontrollable poop..lol
@Zaria: I'd like the 30 day shred if you haven't offered it to anyone yet! I heard really good things about it and don't own a wii to do the just dance program (though I heard it was really fun!)
I've tried the diet tea before, but it doesn't work for me. It gave me the worst cramps I've ever felt in my life and I couldn't keep doing that to my body =\ ... BUT my fiance drank the same tea every day for 3 months (he knew it wasn't healthy) and managed to lose 50+ lbs during his weightloss competition w/ friends.
I'm totally in! I want to lose 10 pounds, I'd really like to do it by mid march but as long as it's gone by summer I'll be happy!
*Side Note: I love how on a previous post I wanted to lose 12 pounds...
Must've been in denial. Or I have phobia of scales.

I've only posted a couple of times on the boards but had to jump in on this thread! I am just beginning my wedding weight loss journey.
Current Weight: 149
Goal: 132 by July 30, 2011, Wedding!
I am a certified personal trainer so I just need to practice what I preach, lol. And to the ladies talking about the teas and diet pills, PLEASE, please, don't do it. My background is in phys ed/health/recreation so I am constantly reading research that advises of the ill effects such measures have. As a side note, the personal trainer thing is not my full time job so I won't be passing any weight loss judgment, ha!

I've been working out a lot and have lot about 5-7 pounds over the past couple months but I've been really kicking it up a notch the past few weeks. I start my second bootcamp class tonight and I LOVE 30 Day Shred! I'm so excited for this!
Count me in too.... I just put my dress on a couple of weeks ago and it did not fit!!!
I am 166 right now and would love to be around 135. I don't know that this will all be gone by my wedding in May, but I am hoping to lose a roll before then. I have lost 7 pounds in a week and a half by starting the C25K program and lowering my carb intake.
So is the official weight in on Sunday? Is this going to be a Biggest Loser theme or pound by pound?

@jhair1111: As far as I know I guess everyone was in agreement for Sunday. Now I'm confused... Like official weigh in to see how much we've lost? If that's the case, I don't give myself much hope for this first one ;o)

As of last night, I'm changing up my diet and starting a new work out program (not really a *program* but a routine I made up). It's just cardio 3 days a week and some weight bearing exercises.
Anyone interested in posting weekly "progress pictures"? I would do it if I weren't alone. It might be huge motivation.

Goal Date: May 20 (DH graduates his 18 week training academy then and will be an absolute stallion, so my competitive nature wants to keep up!)
I'm on my second week of clean eating, ditched the beer/wine for week days and am committing to 5 days a week at the gym. I love running, so the treadmill is always my main cardio tool. I usually warm up on the elliptical and weight train in between.

I'm in! I started off with trying to lose some weight at the beginning of Jan, and I did go down about 3 - 5 pounds, but I've kind of gotten back out of workout mode since then. I need to step it up again!

First goal date: April 1st-ish...my dress comes in then, eek! When I ordered it, my measurements were smack dab in between two sizes. The larger size was the size of the sample they had, and it was too big, so they ordered the smaller size. However, now I'm worried that the sample was just stretched out and I really should have gone with the bigger size. So, time to get serious about the weight loss!
Second Goal Date: October 1st, my wedding day. If I lose the weight to fit into the dress in April, then gain it all back, it doesn't do me any good!

I'd like to reach my goal before alterations on my dress start, though, so all I have to do is maintain and not have too much to be taken in! :)

I'm currently doing a cleanse (started 2 days ago) and will do it for the next 3 weeks. It's not a "drink this and completely starve yourself thing" - it's 1 pill you take before bedtime each evening, all completely natural ingredients. It helps you get rid of all the bloating & excess water weight that girls like me tend to carry around, and it helps make your BM's regular (removing waste that you might have stored up for some time). So far, I am loving it. I can really tell a difference in my mid-section.
Just for the record, I'm not a quick-fix kinda girl - I work out 5x's a week in the gym and run regularly. My trainer recommended this stuff to me since he knows about my goals. Said I would be surprised how much "shit" I am literally carrying around. Ha! If anyone is interested, PM me.
@mrstobe.... I was thinking official weigh in as the starting weight and then every Sunday as the 'what has been lost" weigh in. I am not sure how this is planned, and that is what I am trying to clarify. I know that everyone has different goals so putting an end date would not work, but if we each have a start date together, then weekly weigh ins I think that means accountability for everyone!! I don't know, I am just throwing some ideas out there. I didn't start this thread, so I guess I am just trying to find out where to go with this!!!

My wedding is not until next year, but would like to have it off by April or May so we can do engagement pictures!
Currently, I work out with a trainer a couple of times a week, I just joined a TRX class (whew!) and joined Jazzerize (which I LOVE..my friends laugh when I tell them, but I am telling you if you want to burn calories and have fun).

My wedding is in 3 months. I lost 4 lbs in January by working out (elliptical, Jillian videos, and EA Sports Active for Wii) and seriously cutting back on restaurants and alcohol. FI is also really focused on getting in great shape for the wedding, so we try to motivate eachother.
I've been staying motivated by reminding myself that:
-This is the most $ I will ever spend on looking good (dress, hair, makeup) so I need to make it count
-Tons of pictures will be taken of me
-My bridesmaids are all skinny and beautiful and I gotta be in pics with them
-And finally, I can eat/drink all I want on the honeymoon! Can't wait!
I definitely need accountability!

So that's about 35 lbs? I don't know if its doable but I hope it is! (I have already lost ten but I haven't been very good about my exercise plan)
I'm doing a loose version of the Special K diet, and the Jillian Michael's something or other DvD.
@Adriana.Niva: I just started her 30 Day Shred, it is pretty intense for only 20 minutes of working out! I have two more of her dvds ordered and can't wait for them to come in!
