That’s awesome! Staying positive is really tricky but I think once you take the pressure off yourself and start to look at it in a healthy way – instead of something that is insurmountable the weight (slowly in my case!) starts to peel off. Congratulations!

Congrats!

You might not look different to yourself because you see yourself every day. Has anyone else noticed? If not, just keep plugging away. You are doing a great thing for yourself!

Congrats!

I agree with the others you dont notice because you see yourself everyday. How do your clothes fit that always is the best thing to notice for me.

Start working out slow- do you normally work out? I am very out of shape and only work out 5 mins at a time (yes 5) Its all I can handle. People tell me it doesnt do anything working out for 5 mins. YES IT DOES! Its 5 mins more then doing nothing, it makes a difference.

Congratulations! 10.5 pounds is awesome–you deserve a pat on the back. Good luck for the shred!

Well done you, you should be so proud. It’s so feckin hard to get up the motivation to get started! I’ve just got the David Kessler book, “The End of Overeating”, so I’m hoping that will set me on the right track. I don’t know about you, but I’m hoping my wedding dress will provide the best motivation ever to get off my ass and make it happen!

Congrats!! I totally know what you mean when you say you are eating like ‘normal’ people now, only when you are hungry and stopping when you are full. That’s how I lost weight too! πŸ™‚

Honestly, now that you have your eating in check, all you need to do is step up the excersize a little bit. That could mean just taking an extra 10 or 20 minute walk a day, which really isn’t hard to do. I personally think gym memberships can set people up to fail since it’s a big effort to make yourself go then you have to wait to use the machine you want and everyone else there is so fit, etc. For walkign all you need is a good pair of shoes and you’re out the door!

Congratulations!  Curbing bad eating habits is so hard and you should be so proud of yourself for getting healthy!!  10 lbs is a lot and if you can do that already, you can definitely do whatever you need to do to reach  your goal πŸ™‚ I tried the 30 day shred, it was tough but i think if you stick with it to the end, you can get some serious results!  Another thing that has helped me too is using our DVR to record exercise shows from the fitness channel we get so that way i have a bunch of different options to choose from and never get bored.  You can do anything from 80’s style aerobics (my personal fav.) to belly dancing!

My sister just stated Zumba classes this week and she lost nearly 2 kg in a week! That’s like, 4 pounds! She’s loving it so much that she’s signing up for the instructors course! LOL
