Oh, I’ll play!

Hi, My named Theonetime and I have a problem. 🙂

I don’t have a set goal, As I refuse to step on a scale, the numbers depress me regardless of what it says. But I bought my wedding dress a while ago, and I tried it on a few weeks ago and it wont zip! Ugh. And I thought I was doing good.

I think I need to go down about 5 inches in the belly region just to fit the dress I have, even more to get to a “beach body”. I had been doing the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred as well, and I was doing great until Easter, then I became bad with diet, and bad with “rest” Days. So as of Saturday I’ve made it to a gym Class every day and have cut out Alcohol, pop (Which was my worst habit) and pretty much everything else junk food wise.

I’m dying over here. I think I would kill for a slurpee right now.

CanadianBride456:  You can do it! Motivation and persistance pay off. Or so I’ve heard.

Luckily I have a little more than a month, I have to make sure it fits perfectly by July 1st, or I am royaly screwed. The worst part is in June every weekend is filled with a birthday party and at the end,  My stagette! And I gave up Alcohol… and junk food.  It will be a test of my inner strength and ability to say no in the face of delicious cake… lol

I will play too! I started my new healthier lifestyle in late Feb. this year. I also cut out sweets! It is SO hard. I love sweets more than anyone I know so I do struggle with that. I also cut out unhealthy snacks. So I buy lower calorie snacks and portion them out. I am 5’4 and I really wanted to get back to be lighter than I was when I was married in Sept. I gained weight through the holidays. I am also TTC so I wanted to be at a healthier weight before I conceived.  I set these goals before I thought about TTC so they may change. But I am shooting for a lower weight before getting pregnant, and then I would continue to work out.

SW in Feb- 164

CW as of last Thursday- 146

GW by September- 130

UGW by Feb 2015- 120

Hi there,

<br />My name is Chloe (as my username states haha) and I’m trying to lose weight for my dress too. I’ve started a low GI (glycemic index) way of eating (it’s not a diet, its a new way of life forever) and I have already lost 6kg in 5 weeks (yay!). I am currently 73 kilos (my bmi is overweight) and would like to be around 63/65 kg

I really should be keeping my metabolism up by exercising, but with all the rain, I just can’t bring myself to go outside. So I have hit my plateau weight and now battling to go lower

I found a great recipe for low GI cookies which are saving my life (since my favourite things in life – obviously – are cakes, sweets, junk foods etc)

So lets do this! Fit into our dresses and look fabulous on the best day of our lives!!

CanadianBride456:  Can I join in? I am doing really well so far having dropped nine pounds but still have five to go and am struggling to shift it! What I will say is, if you like Jillian Michaels, try some of her other DVDs as well. I had got stuck in a bit of a rut doing the 30DS so I bough No More Troble Zones and Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and have had really good results. I’m not losing much in terms of weight now but I can see a real difference in muscle tone. I alternate the two DVDs (one is cardio and one is strength/toning), they are both about 40-50 mins in total so a bit longer than the 30DS and both absolutely kill me! Its worth it though and means I’m not getting too bored. I can’t afford the gym so working out at home is really my only option, I still do 30DS if I’m short of time but i think I am getting better results with the other two.

I don’t know if I can join… I’m on a plan to gain 10lbs of lean muscle. I lost 50 lbs and was at an unhealthy weight. I was too tiny and had an unhealthy BMI. About 6 weeks ago I started with a trainer and I have gaine the 10lbs. But it’s not the 10lbs I’ve wanted lol. Because I train like a man, I’ve somehow come to the conclusion it’s ok to eat like a man. I’m on a guyet of sorts and I need to get off of it!

I need to turn this 10lbs into muscle! It’s should be all protein and veg from here on out but the left over pizza from one of my weaker moments is calling my name! *sigh*

islandchloe:   Healthy-ish cookies?? Please share! My office breakroom is stocked FULL of delicious cookies and I can’t touch a single one…

CanadianBride456:  I’ve been told to drink Alcohol straight! lol Cut out the bubbly carb-waters and sugary mixes. Also Red Wine I guess isn’t terrible but I don’t have the taste for wine ever. There’s also those “Skinny Girl” bottled drinks that apparently are super low in calories.  But Alcohol messes with metabolism and can affect it for a day or two after…  Do I want my dress to fit or do I want to have a drink and work overtime the week after…  Its in all seriousness a hard decision for me!

robynrox47:  I understand the pizza struggle, it is a legitimate struggle!  Can I ask how it’s like training with a trainer? I’ve wanted too but I’m almost scared of them. They’re so damn fit and I would look like a struggling penguin next to them.

Theonetime:  I thought I’d be really self conscious and look RIDICULOUS. I don’t know how I look, but the first trainer I had, I wasn’t a fan, he over shared and liked to chit chat and since I will take any excuse to chat rather than work out we weren’t getting much accompished. My new trainer is much more productive, he’s only mean when he needs to be and really makes me work.

My legs are already getting more shape to them and I just feel stronger. I dont feel like a flight of stairs is going to burn lol
